Does my cat need a raised bowl?

Look for hunching, stiff front legs, lying down mid-meal, or food left behind. Eating better when you hold the bowl up is a strong sign too.

Does it actually work?

For stiff or arthritic cats, yes — less bending makes eating easier. It's a comfort fix, not a cure, so still see a vet for bigger appetite changes.

Will this fit my cat?

This bowl sits 11cm high at the front, giving most adult cats a comfortable standing position without the strain of bending to floor level.

Good fit for: Typical adult moggies, and breeds such as British Shorthairs, Siamese, Ragdolls, and many Maine Coons.

May be a touch high for: Young kittens, very petite adult cats, or short-legged breeds like Munchkins.

Not sure it'll fit? Measure your cat's leg height — from the floor to the top of the front leg, where it meets the shoulder, while they're standing naturally. This bowl is best suited to cats measuring 10–16cm at that point.

What if my cat won't use it?

Very normal at first. Set it beside their old bowl for a few days and let them come to it on their own

Will it tip or slide around?

No. Solid 304 stainless steel base and sturdy legs keep it planted, even with an eager eater

Why not just prop up normal bowl with a book or box?

A book or box can slide around and sits completely flat. This bowl stays put, and its 15° tilt brings food toward your cat — less reaching, less chasing kibble around the edges.

Built for the Whole Meal, Not Just the First Bite

Not every elevated bowl actually solves the problem it's supposed to.

The real test is whether your cat actually finishes the meal without you cleaning up after.

Have You Noticed Your Cat Eating... Differently?

It usually starts small.

She hunches a little lower over her bowl.

He stands stiffly, front legs locked, like bending hurts.

Maybe she eats for a few seconds — then stops. Walks away. Comes back later.

Maybe he leaves food scattered around the edges of the bowl, like reaching it just isn't worth the effort anymore.

It's easy to write off as "she's just getting older."

But for a lot of cats, this isn't about age.

It's about the bowl.

A regular floor-level dish asks your cat to crouch, lower her head, and hold that position — again and again, every single meal. For a cat with stiff joints or aching muscles, that's not a small ask. It's a daily struggle wrapped around something that should feel easy.

And once eating becomes uncomfortable, everything downstream is affected — how much she eats, how long he stays at the bowl, whether she finishes a meal at all.

You've probably already tried propping the dish on a book, a box, anything to raise it up.

It helped a little. But it's not really a solution.

Why Bending Is Harder as Cats Age

Your cat has to lower her head. Bend her neck. Flex her shoulders and front legs. Then hold that crouched position — not for a second, but for the whole meal.

For a young, healthy cat, that's nothing. No different than jumping onto a windowsill.

But joints stiffen with age. Muscles lose strength. And a posture that used to be automatic starts to feel like work.

This is why so many senior cats change their eating habits — not because they've lost interest in food, but because getting to it has become physically harder.

It's a pattern vets see often enough that raising the food bowl is a commonly recommended home adjustment for cats with stiff or aching joints — right alongside things like non-slip flooring and easier access to favorite resting spots.

Every Detail, Built Around How Cats Actually Eat

Raised Height

Lifts food up so your cat doesn't have to lower her head or crouch to eat — easing strain on stiff joints and sore shoulders.

Wide, Open Bowl

No tight corners for food to hide in. Your cat can reach every last bite without pushing their face into the edges or leaving food behind.

Weighted, Stable Base

Sturdy legs keep the bowl planted during meals — no tipping, sliding, or rattling every time your cat leans in to eat.

304 Stainless Steel Construction

Smooth and non-porous, so it wipes clean easily and won't chip, crack, or hold onto odors the way ceramic can over time. It's also dishwasher safe.
